Initially all of our make-up clients were brides, so we gave our make-up services its own brand – Mrs! – now, many of our facial clients are so delighted with the results, that they want to know how best to show off their renewed complexion! We have several make-up options to help you look simply radiant whether everyday or for a special occasion. All are based on £40 per hour. If there isn’t a package that suits, we simply create one for you!
2 hour bespoke 1 to 1 session This is ideal for those who wish to apply their own make-up on the day but need professional guidance. We will help you recreate a simple bridal photographic make-up design. We will start to learn about the colours and styles of make-up you are accustomed to wearing and discuss your dress, colour scheme, hair and jewellery. All this information is helpful in matching make-up properly. The best wedding make-up provides structure but subtly enhances everything that’s beautiful about your face. We will teach you how to create a flawless finish, whether you are looking for a matt or dewy complexion. We will then create a look for your eyes, cheeks and lips and write down everything for you, in easy to remember steps. You will have time to practice the look together, until you are confident to replicate it on your own. We will also assist in techniques designed to help make-up last all day. You will receive a FREE Jemma Kidd eye shadow quarter to match your colour choice, lip gloss and light diffusing cream for all over radiance.
Our two-part bridal service includes a make-up design rehearsal and professional make-up artist on your special day. DESIGN REHEARSAL 2 hours bespoke 1 to 1 session at our studio and Wedding day 1.5 hours professional application at the venue of your choice Perfect wedding make-up is as much about the artistʼs expertise, as getting to know you. Your make-up needs to look good in both natural and artificial light, on and off camera and carry through to the evening. It should be delicate yet subtly enhance everything that is beautiful about your face. We pride ourselves on interpreting your wishes and designing a make-up look that is beautiful, radiant and 100% you, only better! You will also receive an eyebrow tidy and lipgloss to retouch your special bridal look on the day. We use a mix of high quality effective make-up from top brands including Laura Mercier, Nars, Chantecaille, Stilla, Mac, Shu Umera, Too Faced, Dior, Smashbox, Jemma Kidd and Clarins. We will help you structure your preparations and arrive well ahead of the ceremony and stay until you leave for the church. For planning purposes, we will be delighted to take care of the make-up preparations for your bridal party. Just ask for a total package price.
Relax with friends and indulgent treats of wine and chocolates, sample the products and ask any questions you may have about skin care and make-up techniques. We are always happy to work with a small group of friends looking to stay in and learn or even enjoy an evening out straight after. We will talk you through our new age skincare and demo a makeup look for you and you can follow. Only £25 each, redeemable against any Rationale purchase made on the day. This is an ideal option for girlsʼ nights in, hen parties or gathering your bridal party before the event. Make-up is a skill and many women are expected to possess the know-how, but very few have any professional training. The secret to a beautiful face isn’t in an extensive make-up collection or complicated techniques, it’s about using the right products for you skin and colouring, as much as knowing your style and applying the right amount of product in the right place for your face. My make-up lessons are about finding you a small collection of must-have make-up products and application techniques that are right for you alone. You will have time to replicate a look following a ‘half-face’ approach. We will also create a 5 minutes to fabulous routine for morning. Alternatively you can sit back and relax while we make you look simply breathtaking for a special occasion.
