Five skincare rules you need to know
I was recently reminded that every night that you go to sleep without cleansing, ages you by an additional 7 days! Rule number 1 – cleanse well each night! And just to remind you, here are four more skincare rules which we shouldn’t try break…
Number 2. Protect your skin from UV rays. You should do this year round. Sun protection factors are your best anti-ageing defence against wrinkles and fine lines. But be aware that there are both good and not so good SPF’s. Rationale’s daily dose cream is truly amazing. It is developed by Australia’s leading cosmetic company. It’s as strong as a white zinc cream such as Sudocreme, but cosmetically elegant. And the Aussie’s really do know what they are doing when it comes to sun damage. My second tip for protection is to use an antioxidant serum. This literally strengthens the skins barrier function and promotes a firmer skin tone and softer texture. It also adds moisturisation. My third is to exfoliate. Sloughing off dead skin promotes cell turnover and reveals a younger-looking you. And my last tip is to choose a great moisturiser and use it day and night, but only where you need to! Choose one that has natural moisturising factors that mimic what’s in the skin naturally.
